French Coffee Co. is a fictional company I created for a packaging project. The project included the restrictions of using only black and gold foil, which provided a great creative challenge.
I am a big fan of French new wave films, and tried to let some of the melancholy that those films possess, seep into some of this design. I also love expressions that don't have a direct translation in English. In this case, "la douler exquise" is a phrase that means "the exquisite pain of wanting someone that you know you can never have."
